Year 3 Kings Park Excursion

  • Date
  • May 25,2021

  • Time
  • All Day

To support our HASS Program this term, all Year Three students will be attending an excursion to Kings Park Education Centre and Naturescape Playground on Tuesday 25 May.

Students will be participating in an educational program titled Chunyart and the Cheeky Parrot. They will learn how plants and animals provided food, tools, shelter and medicine for Nyoongar people and how they took care of the land. Students will also have plenty of time to explore and play on the newly refurbished Naturescape playground.

We will be leaving school at 8.45am, travelling by charter bus to and from Kings Park, returning to school by 3.00pm. Students will need to be at school no later than 8.30am on the day to ensure they don’t miss the bus.

Students will be required to wear their school uniform, closed in sneakers and a school hat on the day. They will also need to bring recess, lunch and a water bottle. Drinking fountains are available to refill bottles.

The cost per child is $17.00 payable by Tuesday 18 May. Please see attached permission note for payment options.

If you are interested in being a parent helper on the day, please let your child’s teacher know as soon as possible. Unfortunately, there won’t be room on the bus for parents so you will have to make your own way to the Kings Park Education Centre on Kattidj Close. Carpooling for parent helpers is recommended.

Regards
