DESCRIPTION:




Safety Bay Primary School’s Runners Club has been in operation for several years.  The program has gained increasing popularity as the years have gone by.  This is a positive trend as our students are encouraged to engage in increased physical activity.
This purely optional out of school activity is being offered to children from Kindy to Year 6, who would like to ‘keep fit’.  It is also an ideal opportunity for Year 3-6 students to practice for the upcoming cross-country carnival.  Please note K/P students must be accompanied by a parent and escorted to class at the conclusion of Runners Club.
Students do not have to run the entire time; power walking is also a great form of exercise.  Any parent wishing to participate with their child is also welcome.  All children participating must wear appropriate shoes.  All participants should bring their own water bottles.
Please be aware that if it is raining at the start time, Runner’s Club will not go ahead and students should attend the Undercover area, as per usual procedures.  
Please understand that the staff who help before school do so on a purely voluntary basis.  As always, students are expected to maintain high standards of behaviour and demonstrate our 5R values.  
Please ensure your child’s medical information provided to the front office is up to date.  If your child suffers from asthma, please ensure they have their inhaler available.
